Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and communicate sepsis screening process to nursing staff
  • Act as a resource to nursing staff on sepsis screening, documentation, and use of orders
  • Review usage of Sepsis orders with MDs to increase compliance with orders in ED and Inpatient units
  • Provide education and serve as resource to nursing staff on use of fluid resuscitation devices and care of septic patients in the ICU
  • Participate in attainment of departmental goals, including nursing staff education and competency, nursing orientation and preceptor development, professional practice development, support of professional nursing in the community, patient and family education, and community wellness
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years hospital clinical experience
  • At least one year of teaching experience in a hospital setting
