Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Manager to become a vital part of our finance team. This role will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring precise financial reporting, and upholding robust internal controls. Familiarity with Sage / Intacct software and experience in the cannabis sector are beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial functions: billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and inventory management.
  • Guide and develop the finance team, promoting high performance and professional growth.
  • Guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and organizational policies.
  • Prepare and present financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to the CFO and executive leadership.
  • Design and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Coordinate annual audit activities, including preparing audit schedules and serving as a liaison with external auditors.
  • Analyze monthly financial data and produce comprehensive financial reports and statements.
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including tax obligations.
  • Collaborate across departments to support overall business objectives.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes to enable strategic decision-making.
  • Utilize Sage / Intacct software to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive financial experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Sage / Intacct software is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, team management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
