Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Cheerleading Team Assistant Coach to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the head coach in leading the cheerleading team and developing the skills of our student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the head coach in planning and implementing practices and games
  • Develop and teach skills to student-athletes
  • Build relationships and serve as a positive role model for students
  • Communicate effectively with students and adults
  • Work nights, holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed
  • Travel with the team to different locations for practices and games
Requirements
  • Appropriate coaching certification as regulated by the IHSA --OR-- Illinois Professional Educator License
  • Strong knowledge of the sport and ability to teach and develop skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
What We Offer

This is a differential position with a competitive pay scale. Coaches with 5+ years of experience are compensated at a higher rate than those with more limited experience. Employment as a coach is on an at-will basis.
