Role Responsibilities

As a pivotal member of the Semiconductor team, Test Development Engineers are essential in collaborating with the engineering team to devise unique and innovative testing solutions for our cutting-edge products. You will work closely with the applications team to refine the final device datasheet through comprehensive characterization and product evaluation.

Your involvement will span the entire new production introduction process, including:

  • Feasibility assessments
  • Design for test
  • Hardware design
  • Device debugging
  • Temperature characterization
  • Long-term support for offshore production

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that every device meets Renesas' stringent quality standards. Additionally, you will continuously seek opportunities to enhance efficiency, yield, and reduce testing costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE); familiarity with Microflex & Advantest 93K is preferred, with ETS364/800 being a plus.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in ATE test development for analog, digital, and mixed-signal applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, BASIC, Perl, and Python.
  • Experience in testing and data collection on IC chips or circuits using standard instruments like Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, and Spectrum Analyzers.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, particularly with ATE analog digital instruments and PCB layout parasitic reduction.
  • Hands-on experience in debugging analog products with serial bus interfaces.
  • Experience in developing test hardware and test programs.
  • Willingness to travel 0-10%.
