Job Overview

Your daily responsibilities will include collaborating with diverse teams, such as software developers, quality assurance analysts, technical leads, and product managers, to design and implement robust testing strategies and automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in software engineering and test automation, coupled with exceptional communication skills that connect technical and business elements within the life insurance and annuity sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer architectural direction and mentorship to teams of SDETs/Quality Engineers to facilitate successful software delivery.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to develop testing strategies, plans, and cases that align with business objectives and expectations.
  • Design and sustain scalable test automation frameworks for both frontend and backend processes, ensuring automation across various systems.
  • Guarantee adherence to quality assurance best practices throughout the Agile development lifecycle, from story analysis to continuous integration and deployment.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the life insurance domain, including regulatory requirements, data standards, and business processes for thorough test coverage.
  • Partner with the development team on performance and security testing to identify and mitigate bottlenecks and vulnerabilities.
  • Generate test reports, monitor defects, and effectively communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Possess knowledge of various operating systems and troubleshooting OS-related issues.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Understanding of Git version control and GitHub.
  • Experience in Agile/DevSecOps and Cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Domain knowledge in life insurance and annuity products is a plus.
  • Certifications like ISTQB or CSQA are beneficial.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development and quality assurance, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in Web, API, and/or Mobile testing.
  • More than 5 years of automation experience with tools such as Tosca Commander, Selenium, Appium, CI/CD, Jenkins.
  • At least 5 years of experience in test data management.
