Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Specialist to join our team at Services for the UnderServed (S:US). The successful candidate will provide vocational services and consultation as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, working with individuals who are seriously persistently mentally ill.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide vocational services and consultation to clients, including visits to their homes and other settings as required.
  • Integrate vocational goals and services with the tasks of all team members.
  • Responsible for charting client services and creating a monthly spreadsheet with names of tenants and their employment status.
  • Follow-up quarterly with all employed tenants and assist with making monthly contact as needed.
  • Participate in bi-weekly meetings and monthly supervision to address work-related tasks or concerns.
Requirements
  • BA degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
  • Two or more years' experience working with persons who are seriously persistently mentally ill under the supervision of a certified rehabilitation counselor.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word/Excel and ability to research material via the internet.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience working with different populations preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred.
