Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Certification Authorization Coordinator to join our team at The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for obtaining pre-certification for all inpatient admissions and pre-authorization for all outpatient diagnostic tests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain pre-certification for all inpatient admissions and pre-authorization for all outpatient diagnostic tests
• Analyze information required to complete pre-certifications and/or authorizations with insurance carriers, service area contacts, and workman's compensation carriers
• Demonstrate proficient use of PC and UVA software systems to ensure accurate and timely entry of pre-certification/pre-authorization information
• Demonstrate effective communication, decision-making, and organizational skills to ensure efficient job performance and job success
• Adhere to policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years relevant experience
• None
