About the Role

Schenectady Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to fill the position of Unit Manager. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing unit and ensuring the highest level of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve unit efficiency and quality of care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve resident-centered care goals
  • Monitor and evaluate unit performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
  • Represent the unit's interests and advocate for residents' needs within the organization
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of New York
  • Minimum 3 years of long-term care experience, with a focus on leadership and management
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
