About the Role
Delmar Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Unit Manager in our Delmar, NY facility. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of dedicated healthcare professionals and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive and productive work environment
- Mentor and coach less experienced nurses to enhance their clinical and leadership skills
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided by the unit and identify areas for improvement
- Represent the unit's interests and concerns to upper-level management
Requirements:
- Current State RN License
- 3 years of Long Term Care experience preferred
- 2 years of Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Strong computer skills and excellent communication skills
