Job Overview

The Standard Group is seeking a highly skilled Pre-Press Manager to oversee the operation of all pre-press operations and functions in our Print and Technology Center in Lititz, PA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the productivity, quality, timeliness, and cost control of the department's work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage pre-press operations, including assigning work and providing instructions to operators and other associates.
  • Review job planning with project managers to ensure that jobs are produced according to customer specifications.
  • Assist employees with technical, maintenance, or operational problems, serving as a resource for solving problems.
  • Evaluate the performance of pre-press employees and provide feedback in a timely manner.
  • Support and enforce company and department policies and procedures.
  • Encourage and train employees to be quality and cost conscious.
  • Promote teamwork and a positive work ethic among employees.
  • Responsible for the overall safety of the pre-press department and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
  • Verify the accuracy of labor and material entries for pre-press employees.
Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A thorough understanding of commercial printing, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read job tickets and interpret instructions are required.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal communication and supervisory skills, as well as the ability to work under conditions caused by deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
