Plumber Job Opportunity

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. As a Plumber, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients and staff by installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and repair plumbing fixtures, including pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, showers, pumps, and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Monitor and label natural and medical gas lines according to established procedures to ensure safe and operational piping.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to ensure effective and safe repairs.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineering, and other Parkland staff to provide necessary information and support for system maintenance.
  • Document and maintain records of installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance operations according to established policies and procedures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance functions on plumbing and piping systems to minimize system failures.
  • Train and assist other team members as needed to ensure staff members are capable of performing assigned job functions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve work processes and customer satisfaction, making recommendations to supervisor and implementing and monitoring results as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Five years of experience in plumbing.
  • Journeymans Plumber license from the State of Texas.
  • Prefer state Medical Gas Endorsement.
  • Valid Texas Driver License (Class C).
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skill in the proper use of tools, materials, and methods used in plumbing.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Parkland employees.
  • Working knowledge of computerized work orders and preventive maintenance system.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads, walk, stand for extended periods, and climb ladders.
