About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director to lead our Creating Economic Opportunities and Building Resilient Communities practice area. This is a key leadership position that will provide strategic oversight and direction to our international programs division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction in the design and implementation of high-quality, innovative programs that align with our organizational values, methodology, and standards.
  • Identify and integrate new ideas and evidence-based learning to enhance our visibility, credibility, and thought leadership in the field of economic growth and resilience.
  • Lead new business and program development efforts, including proposal writing and management.
  • Supervise a team of global professional staff and technical experts, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Represent NCBA CLUSA to external partners and donors, promoting our expertise and services.
Technical Expertise
  • Market systems and resilience development, including analysis and design of interventions in underlying systems that drive market outcomes.
  • Private sector and international development projects and initiatives, with a focus on inclusive market systems and approaches.
  • Food systems and climate smart agriculture frameworks, including design and implementation of multidisciplinary and integrated projects aimed at fostering resilience at the local level.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, International Development, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of increasing responsibility in relevant program and technical work experience in economic growth and resilience, or related area.
  • Minimum 10 years of previous experience working on donor-funded projects, including USAID and USDA projects.
  • Accomplished in leading and/or contributing to new business development, with excellent proposal writing skills.
  • Successful program management experience, including work plan management, planning programs, and monitoring progress.
