ACDI/VOCA is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Finance & Investment to join our Catalyzing Investment Team in the Technical Learning and Application Division. This role will provide guidance and oversight of AV Ventures' local investment management efforts, support project-level technical assistance, and contribute to organization-wide learning and collaboration.
About the RoleThe Senior Director, Finance & Investment will be responsible for:
- Providing guidance and oversight of AV Ventures' local investment management efforts, including pipeline building, investment memo review, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring.
- Supporting project-level technical assistance, including financial systems analysis, investment landscape analysis, and partnership engagement.
- Contributing to organization-wide learning and collaboration, including the development of impact measurement frameworks and the identification of learning needs/opportunities.
To be successful in this role, the Senior Director, Finance & Investment will need:
- A minimum of eight (8) years' experience in investment or finance, including overseas work, plus three (3) years of managerial experience.
- A Master's degree in business administration, finance, economics, international development, or a related field.
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with significant work experience in private equity or investment strongly preferred.
- Fluency in English required, with fluency in Russian, French, and/or Spanish preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write in another language such as Russian, French, or Spanish preferred.
