Job Overview

Coastal Television of Minnesota is seeking a seasoned media professional to lead our KQDS station in Duluth, MN as a General Manager/General Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Leadership: Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue opportunities across all platforms, including television, digital, and emerging markets.
  • Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing ongoing training and support to ensure team members reach their full potential.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with key advertisers, clients, and community partners.
  • Budget Management: Oversee station budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining cost control.
  • Content and Programming Oversight: Work closely with news and content teams to ensure programming aligns with audience interests and sales objectives.
  • Community Involvement: Act as the face of the station in the community, representing KQDS at local events and engaging with viewers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in media sales, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
