Position: Senior Financial Analyst at SMX Corporation

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role in supporting various initiatives within the DSG FSC Commercial division.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Finance Manager and Program Managers to achieve the overarching goals and objectives of the contracts.

This position primarily offers remote work flexibility, though occasional visits to the Herndon, VA office may be necessary.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager to conduct ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by the PMO and other stakeholders.
  • Track funding status and provide timely and accurate notifications regarding funding details by line-item as required.
  • Assist with accounts receivable during the billing process as needed.
  • Oversee billing status and address unbilled issues, working in conjunction with Finance, Contracts, Accounting, and PMO to resolve matters promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley, FAR, and all company policies and procedures related to contract performance and financial management.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years of financial experience.
  • Proven ability to foster relationships across diverse functional teams and internal business partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong data management, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Functional understanding of various contract types and project control methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for work on Department of Defense contracts.
