Job Summary:

The Bartender - Casino (Temporary) is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests by mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and converse with guests to suggest or receive cocktail orders in a timely manner
Prepare and serve cocktails to customers/cocktail servers in the pool area following the sequence of service standards set forth by management
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar area
Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet
Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies, keeping the bank secure at all times

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience as a bartender in a resort setting
At least 1 year of experience in customer service
Ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude
Ability to handle cash and accurately make change
Ability to speak and listen in a public forum
Manage multiple tasks and remain calm in very high-paced and stressful environments and work under pressure
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
Professional appearance and demeanor
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Basic math skills
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have a Union Pour Card
Must have basic knowledge of wines and spirits
Must be willing to work outdoors in seasonal heat (100F+) or cold as well as inclement weather
Performs all other job-related duties as requested

Preferred:

Previous experience working in a similar hotel casino setting
Minimum two (2) years' bartender experience
