Job Overview:
Key Qualifications:
- Lead and engage in the assessment and analysis of intricate malicious software using a variety of tools such as disassemblers, debuggers, hex editors, unpackers, virtual machines, and network analysis tools.
- Accountable for delivering findings in comprehensive technical reports detailing malware characteristics, identification parameters, advanced functionalities, and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct thorough research on malicious software, vulnerabilities, and exploitation methodologies.
- Experience in application security, network security, reverse engineering, or malware analysis is essential.
- Strong understanding of malware types including worms, viruses, Trojans, rootkits, botnets, Windows internals, and Win32 API.
- Extensive programming experience (assembly and web) and system analysis using tools such as IDA Pro, Ollydbg, PCAP tools, or TCP Dump is required.
- Must possess professional certification in a Computer Network Defense (CND) discipline, classified as Technical Level III as per DODI 8570.
- TS/SCI clearance and SSBI investigation are mandatory.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Support defensive cyberspace operations by analyzing network traffic and establishing baselines to identify adverse trends, anomalous traffic, or malicious activities.
- Enhance network analysis through hunting, clearing, hardening, and continuous assessment operations, while providing Cyber Threat Emulation (CTE) and Discovery and Counter-Infiltration (D&CI) capabilities.
- Deliver surge support, technical guidance, and expertise in Cybersecurity to assist various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all relevant cyber regulations and directives; present findings in reports, briefs, and deliverables as required.
- Provide Cybersecurity surge support during real-world incidents or additional requirements in alignment with RMF compliance checks and documentation reviews across authorization boundaries, including but not limited to:
- Preparation for security reviews of all controls associated with RMF applicable to an assigned authorization boundary based on Confidentiality, Integrity, or Availability designations.
- Conduct on-site or off-site reviews of information systems to audit and validate compliance with associated security controls.
- Act as reviewers for audit teams during inspections, assessments, evaluations, and audits.
- Generate reports for the assigned Government representative as necessary.
- Conduct reviews, validation, and deliverable efforts in support of compliance or non-compliance with CCI, STIGs, and SRGs for each finding or vulnerability as per RMF.
- Provide integrated Cybersecurity support across various organizations as required.
