Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at Surgery Partners. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons and surgeon assistants with procedures, including setting up the sterile field and passing instruments
  • Participate in the count of sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments, based on the type of procedure performed
  • Help prepare specimens and assist with the disposition of specimens
  • Apply dressings and assist with patient transfer from the procedure bed to the stretcher
  • Clean and restock the procedure room, and pull supplies and instruments for upcoming procedures
  • Assist with the maintenance of physician preference cards and inventory management
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • A graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
  • CST certification required
  • Prefer 1-2 years clinical experience in an operating room setting
  • Possession of a current valid license in Radiologic Technology issued by the State of MI
  • Successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, in collaboration with the American College of Radiology
  • Must be certified in Basic Life Support
