Position Overview:
C.H. Robinson is on the lookout for a skilled Industrial Engineer to enhance our Central Engineering and account teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Craft innovative strategies that align with the objectives of C.H. Robinson and our clients
  • Foster continuous enhancement by refining inventory management practices, improving facility layouts, and optimizing material flows
  • Employ data-driven analysis to tackle intricate challenges while designing and executing processes that resonate with stakeholders and yield optimal results
  • Develop enterprise-level and supply chain strategies that establish a foundation for sustainable growth and exceptional efficiency
  • Assess inbound, outbound, and inventory operations to maintain peak warehouse performance
  • Spearhead initiatives aimed at cost reduction, process enhancement, and productivity improvement
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to maximize ROI while overseeing workforce management
  • Create standardized designs for client warehouses and distribution centers
  • Execute efficiency plans, warehouse slotting, and SKU evaluations
  • Collaborate with suppliers to devise operational solutions and automation strategies
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, addressing challenges, providing valuable insights, and enhancing competitive positioning in the market

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in industrial engineering within a warehouse setting
  • Capability to stand and/or walk while frequently bending, twisting, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and minimal international travel)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in continuous improvement, maintenance, and safety across multiple warehouses/facilities
  • Familiarity with third-party logistics
  • Strong project management and communication abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, including effective task prioritization
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience with labor management systems - TZA ProTrack, Red Prairie, etc.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems - High Jump Korber, etc.
  • MOST Certification
  • Skilled in PowerBI and dashboard creation
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Experience with warehouse modeling and simulation software
