  1. Independently works on a variety of legal matters, including negotiation with outside counsel and resolution of legal issues.
  2. Effectively communicates with legal counsel, staff, and business to achieve objectives.
  3. Collaborates with Legal Counsel on complex legal issues and administers law department activities.
  4. Researches complex legal issues and relevant topics related to Walgreens business operations.
  5. Investigates facts and applicable law, developing oral and written presentations to communicate findings.
  6. Represents Walgreens externally to customers, vendors, opposing counsel, and government agencies, resolving legal issues through negotiation and legal expertise.
  7. Demonstrates independent judgment and critical thinking to identify issues, appreciate commercial and operational impacts, and report findings to stakeholders.
  8. Analyzes contracts, pleadings, statutes, decisions, correspondence, and other documentation to evaluate legal positions and make recommendations to attorneys.
  9. Drafts legal documents, communications, and reports under minimal attorney supervision.
  10. Provides guidance through training, coaching, or mentoring other paraprofessionals and staff.
