Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Administrative Specialist to join our team at American Family Care Louisville. As a key member of our medical office, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the clinic for opening by reviewing the facility, opening systems applications, and completing morning checklists.
  • Greet patients, provide them with necessary information, and assist with registration on their phones.
  • Register patients, update records, verify insurance accurately, and check patients out in a timely manner.
  • Determine, collect, and process patient payments, addressing collection and billing issues as needed.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs, provide excellent service, and assist with follow-up appointments and medical documentation requests.
  • Balance daily patient charges against system reports and complete closing procedures by preparing closing documentation and submitting required reports.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation, adhering to confidentiality and security protocols.
Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent required; previous medical clerical experience preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, is essential.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are necessary for interacting with patients and staff.
  • Well-groomed appearance and clear phone mannerisms are also required.
