Front Desk Associate

The Front Desk Associate at Gold's Gym Washington plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for members, guests, and staff. This position involves assisting members, addressing inquiries regarding gym services, and executing various administrative duties as directed by the Gym General Manager or Operations Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet Members and Guests: Provide a warm welcome to all individuals entering and exiting the facility.
  • Security Monitoring: Oversee the front entrance and retail area to ensure safety and security.
  • Member Check-In: Process member check-ins according to established protocols.
  • Account Management: Identify and report any delinquent accounts to the Gym Operations Supervisor.
  • Guest Registration: Register guests following the appropriate procedures.
  • Appointment Direction: Guide guests and appointments to fitness consultants in a timely manner.
  • Phone Communication: Answer incoming calls professionally and provide assistance as needed.
  • Message Taking: Accurately record messages and inquiries.
  • Follow-Up: Confirm appointments through follow-up calls.
  • Member Support: Address and resolve member requests and concerns promptly.
  • Professional Appearance: Maintain a neat appearance and adhere to uniform requirements.
  • Sales Handling: Manage retail and concession sales efficiently.
  • Staff Meetings: Attend meetings as required.
  • Front Desk Maintenance: Keep the front desk area clean and organized.
  • Maintenance Logging: Record maintenance issues and report safety concerns.
  • Incident Reporting: Notify management of any incidents that require documentation.
  • Policy Adherence: Follow all company policies and procedures diligently.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Customer Service Skills: Demonstrated strong customer service abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles and cash handling.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in computer usage.
  • Multitasking Ability: Capable of managing multiple tasks and working flexible hours.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift weights and stand for extended periods.
