Front Desk Associate

The Front Desk Associate at Gold's Gym Washington plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for all members, guests, and staff. This position involves assisting patrons with inquiries about gym services, managing the check-in process, and performing various administrative duties as directed by the Gym General Manager or Operations Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet members and guests with warmth and professionalism upon their arrival and departure.
  • Monitor the entrance and retail area to ensure safety and security.
  • Facilitate member check-ins in accordance with established protocols.
  • Identify and report any delinquent accounts to the Gym Operations Supervisor.
  • Register guests following the appropriate procedures.
  • Promptly direct guests and appointments to fitness consultants.
  • Handle incoming phone calls in a professional manner and provide assistance as needed.
  • Accurately take messages and document inquiries.
  • Follow up on phone inquiries to confirm appointments.
  • Address member requests and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance, adhering to uniform requirements.
  • Manage retail and concession sales effectively.
  • Participate in staff meetings as required.
  • Keep the front desk area clean and organized.
  • Log maintenance issues and report any safety concerns.
  • Notify management of incidents that require documentation.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and cash handling procedures.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Capability to multitask and adapt to a flexible work schedule.
  • Physical ability to lift weights and remain standing for extended periods.
