The Premium Audit Department at Cincinnati Insurance Company is currently seeking a premium auditor to assess property casualty commercial lines policies, ensuring accurate classifications, exposures, and premium bases. You will develop earned premiums in compliance with company, industry, and governmental regulations.

The candidate is required to reside within the designated territory.

The compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000 annually. Pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:

  • Travel to commercial clients to conduct audits
  • Develop earned premiums in accordance with company, industry, and governmental regulations
  • Verify premium bases by reviewing ledgers, state or federal quarterly records, financial statements, and other accounting documents
  • Investigate and establish correct policy classifications through personal interviews and physical inspections of the insured's premises
  • Document changes in the insured's operations
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports within established time frames
  • Engage with agents and associates to communicate and support audit findings

Qualifications:

Be equipped with:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the property casualty sector and its products
  • Underwriting experience
  • Proficient automation skills

You've earned but not required:

  • Degree in insurance, accounting, or a related field
  • Industry designation, such as APA or CPCU

Required:

  • Experience in insurance and/or auditing
