The Premium Audit Division at Cincinnati Insurance Company is actively seeking a premium auditor to assess property casualty commercial lines policies, ensuring accurate classifications, exposures, and premium bases. This role involves developing earned premiums in compliance with corporate, industry, and regulatory standards.

Residency within the designated territory is a requirement.

Compensation for this role ranges from $70,000 to $95,000 annually. The salary is determined based on the candidate's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible employees may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on both company and individual performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to commercial clients to perform audits
  • Establish earned premiums in accordance with corporate, industry, and regulatory guidelines
  • Verify premium basis by examining ledgers, state or federal quarterly records, financial statements, and other accounting documents
  • Investigate and determine correct policy classifications through personal interviews and physical inspections of the insured's premises
  • Document changes in the insured's operations
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports within set deadlines
  • Engage with agents and associates to communicate and support audit findings

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Solid analytical abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of the property casualty sector and its products
  • Experience in underwriting
  • Proficient automation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in insurance, accounting, or a related field
  • Industry designations such as APA or CPCU

Mandatory:

  • Experience in insurance and/or auditing
