Key Responsibilities:

As part of the testing team, you will be responsible for developing automated testing frameworks, crafting and executing test cases, and enhancing the testability of both hardware and software systems to ensure compliance with product specifications and regulatory standards. Collaboration with hardware and software developers is essential to verify that all components function as intended.

  • Software Development and Testing - Design and implement test code, software applications, and necessary tools for the testing and validation of embedded systems and mobile communication devices, ensuring adherence to international standards, Functional Verification and Validation (V&V), Automated Test Systems, Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT), and Durability Testing.
  • Analysis and Specification - Develop automated testing processes and tools for vehicle embedded systems and mobile wireless communication, ensuring that products meet all operational requirements through rigorous testing.
  • Testing and Support - Work closely with system developers to conduct on-vehicle verification and validation tests, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot design issues and create documentation according to internal standards.
  • Project Coordination - Assist in the development of project plans and schedules, providing regular updates on progress. Offer technical support to fellow engineers and contribute to the establishment of production testing requirements.
  • Continuous Learning - Stay updated on advancements in software tools, processes, and technologies. Participate in training sessions, conferences, and meetings to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering; or an Associate degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in designing and developing embedded system software applications, particularly with Real-time Operating Systems (FreeRTOS).
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with analytical and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for work-related purposes.
  • Reliable transportation for local travel during work hours.
  • Capability to operate lift trucks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of experience in software development for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Cellular, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), and related Graphical User Interfaces (GUI).
  • Familiarity with CAN bus communication protocols and tools such as CANOpen, XCP, Vector CANape, and Vector CANalyzer.
  • Experience with on-chip debugging tools, especially Lauterbach Trace32.
  • Proficiency in scripting with Python.
  • Understanding of unit testing methodologies, particularly VectorCAST.
  • Knowledge of software architecture and state diagrams.
  • Experience with task management and version control systems, including Jira, Confluence, and Git.
