Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be integral to the testing team, collaborating closely with both hardware and software developers to ensure that all components function correctly and meet established requirements, including compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Software Development and Testing - Design and implement automated testing frameworks, develop test scripts, and create software tools essential for the testing and validation of embedded systems and mobile communication devices, ensuring adherence to international standards and conducting various tests such as Functional Verification and Validation (V&V) and Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT).
  • Analysis and Specification - Establish automated testing processes and tools for embedded systems, crafting test scripts to validate that products meet all functional requirements and specifications.
  • Testing and Support - Work alongside system developers to conduct on-vehicle verification and validation tests, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Assist in troubleshooting design issues and maintain documentation in accordance with internal guidelines.
  • Project Coordination - Assist in the development of project plans and schedules, providing regular updates on progress. Offer technical guidance to fellow engineers and contribute to the formulation of production testing requirements.
  • Continuous Learning - Stay updated on advancements in software tools and methodologies. Participate in training sessions, conferences, and workshops to enhance knowledge of emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering; or an Associate degree with six years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in designing and developing software for embedded systems, particularly with Real-time Operating Systems (FreeRTOS).
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.
  • Ability to operate lift trucks.

Preferred Skills:

  • Five or more years of experience in developing software for wireless communication technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Cellular.
  • Familiarity with CAN bus communication protocols and tools.
  • Experience with on-chip debugging tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python.
  • Understanding of unit testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of software architecture and design principles.
  • Experience with project management and version control tools.
