Position Overview:
Ferguson is on the lookout for a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to become a vital part of our team.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Compensation:
Starting at $25 per hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage credit accounts in accordance with established organizational guidelines.
2. Process customer payments, reconcile outstanding balances, and prepare regular reports on accounts receivable and overdue accounts.
3. Assist customers with inquiries and issues related to their accounts.
4. Provide routine clerical support, including copying, mail distribution, basic calculations, and maintaining records in line with standard procedures, ensuring all work is verified by a supervisor.
5. Authorize order ticket releases for credit accounts under restriction.
6. Update and summarize receivables.
7. Address uncollected CODs and manage NSF check processes.
8. Investigate and resolve credit card chargebacks.
9. Conduct collection activities, including follow-up inquiries, negotiating repayment terms with overdue accounts, and determining when to refer accounts to collection agencies or write off receivables.
Qualifications:
- Preferred credit experience of 0-3 years.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks effectively to manage multiple demands and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Basic math skills are essential.

Compensation Range:
$30.54 per hour. Please note that estimated ranges are displayed monthly for salaried roles or hourly for other positions. This role is eligible for bonus or incentive plans.
