Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Administrator 3 to join our team at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer and oversee treatment for behavioral health patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and oversee treatment for behavioral health patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
  • Supervise the assistant state psychiatry director as well as the advanced practice registered nurse supervisor
  • Provide direction and guidance to all institutional psychiatrists
  • Manage clinical policy and program development and oversight
  • Perform duties in accordance with scope of practice; ODRC policies, procedures, protocols; and related American Correctional Association standards
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
  • Engage in collaborative agreements, as needed
  • Provide direct patient care
  • Share responsibilities of 24-hour off-site on-call as needed

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have a Certificate to practice medicine as issued by State Medical Board pursuant to Sections & of Revised Code.
