About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Mental Health Therapist to join our team at the Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS INC. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Psychotherapy Services: Offer individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions to facilitate positive change and promote mental well-being.
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide timely and effective crisis intervention services to clients in need.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with other professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and consultation.
  • Education and Training: Provide educational opportunities to behavioral health staff and assist in the development of training programs.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and provide statistical reports as required.
  • Community Outreach: Participate in outreach efforts to identify prospective clients and community needs, and facilitate the satisfaction of those needs.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Earned graduate degree in behavioral health (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, Substance Abuse, or Psychology) with at least one year of clinical experience or case management experience.
  • Bilingual Skills: Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of mental health and community resources, with a strong understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality protocols.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications and electronic medical records (EMRs).
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensure: Active licensure from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (e.g., LMSW, LAC, LAMFT, or LASAC).
  • Experience with Diverse Populations: Personal or professional experience working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, people living with HIV/AIDS, or other marginalized groups.
