Recovery Support Specialist Job Summary
The Phoenix Center is seeking a highly skilled Recovery Support Specialist to join our team. As a Recovery Support Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and security of individuals in our care, maintaining a positive and professional rapport with the community, and ensuring accurate counts of individuals at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Operations Supervisor
- Oversees all individual's safety and security while on shift
- Maintains positive and professional rapport with individuals' community
- Maintains an accurate count of individuals in your care at all times
- Conducts scheduled and non-scheduled counts
- Participates in pre/post shift debriefings
- Prepares written reports (Incident Reports, Statements, etc.)
- Assists with admission and discharge of individuals
- Investigates incidents and reports findings to the Supervisor
- Responsible for urine collection and testing
- Conducts facility and individuals searches
- Reviews changes to facility policies and procedures
- Transports individuals to and from work sites or outside appointments
- Confronts and disciplines individuals' behavior problems and provides rewards for positive behaviors
- Observes medication
- Processes individuals request forms and mail
- Relays pertinent information up and down chain of command
- Processes and discharge individuals' property
- Maintains facility cleanliness
- Maintains annual training requirements
- Maintains daily logs
- Records individual's behaviors, movement, and control
- Oversees individuals' orientation class
Requirements:
- Must be able to grasp and apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other program ideologies
- Must have a Valid Driver's License
- Active CDCA Certification (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant)
- High School Diploma
