Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead our production team at J C FORD COMPANY. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all production execution activities, including machining, fabrication, and assembly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive daily stand-up meetings with Production Team Leaders to communicate standard information and align on daily priorities.
  • Assist with capacity and internal lead time planning based on manufacturing processes and capacity.
  • Accountable for production output actual vs. planned, and implement corrective action plans to ensure targets are achieved or surpassed.
  • Track and communicate planned vs. actual revenue per standard frequencies.
  • Develop and maintain transparent and clear communications to internal and external customers.
  • Develop, drive, and sustain a visual factory and 5S standards.
  • Determine equipment, materials, and resources required to meet customer demand.
  • Makes suggestions for process and safety improvements.
  • Assist in new process and/or procedural development and enhancements.
  • Implement best practices utilizing lean methodology.
  • Coach and train employees, issue corrective action when required, and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop, track, and continuously improve key performance indicators to drive accountability within the production team.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, including mutual trust and respect to all company team members.
  • Provide excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.
  • Generate ideas and initiate action to solve problems and continuously improve.
  • Comply with company safety procedures, attendance, and punctuality policies.
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities, exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views, and contribute to building a positive team environment.
  • Assist team members in resolving work-related challenges and drive continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate team member performance, recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and corrective action.
  • Actively participate and support company programs.
  • Comply and encourage team members to follow all safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in machining, fabrication, and assembly environments.
  • Proven, successful track record of leading a team of at least 75 team members.
  • Experience in developing, leading, and sustaining Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People key performance indicators (KPIs) throughout production.
  • Experience in leading and driving a facility start-up and/or transition is preferred.
  • Passionate problem-solving and creativity.
  • Proficient in interpreting and understanding financial statements, along with budget development and management.
  • Analytical ability to assist in developing revenue forecasts (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually).
  • Effective public speaking and high-energy presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to participate in and/or lead a cross-functional team.
  • Possess ability to drive for results, hold self and team accountable, and continuously improve.
Physical Requirements

The majority of the job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions, but the job will also require from time to time to visit the production floor and in the warehouse.
