We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System in Racine, Wisconsin. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
- Advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after treatment, or automotive fuel injection repairs
- Assist and train technicians as needed, provide customer service, and give feedback to the Service Manager
- Oversee parts distribution & inventory, shop reporting, warranty recovery, unit tracking, payroll administration, and other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager
- Four (4) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including shift work, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations for roadside assistance
- Proficient in SMO, SBT, payroll system, warranty recovery, and employee handbook
- Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
- Hourly pay: $31.00 per hour
