Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System in Racine, Wisconsin. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
  • Advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after treatment, or automotive fuel injection repairs
  • Assist and train technicians as needed, provide customer service, and give feedback to the Service Manager
  • Oversee parts distribution & inventory, shop reporting, warranty recovery, unit tracking, payroll administration, and other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager
Requirements:
  • Four (4) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including shift work, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations for roadside assistance
  • Proficient in SMO, SBT, payroll system, warranty recovery, and employee handbook
  • Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
