Your Role at SAM
The geomatics crew leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a land surveying team.

Identify the most effective strategies for data collection during field surveys, which may include primary control, construction layout, and as-built surveys, as required.

Demonstrate proficiency in documenting work performed and creating sketches.
Maintain daily communication with the Project Surveyor and technician regarding the project schedule and progress.
Engage professionally with client representatives and landowners.
Interpret construction drawings and specifications while understanding all facets of the land survey project requirements and tolerances.
Prepare daily reports, time sheets, and other necessary documentation.
Ensure the maintenance of surveying vehicles and field equipment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring to SAM
5+ years of experience in the industry, with prior leadership experience preferred.
Proficient in operating total stations, GNSS receivers, data collectors, and tablet PCs.
Experience with Trimble equipment is advantageous.
Strong technical and computer skills.
Excellent communication abilities (listening, writing, and verbal).
Demonstrated work history, strong work ethic, and a collaborative attitude.
Willingness to travel for extended periods.
Able to work in various weather conditions.
Capable of walking long distances across diverse terrains and lifting up to 80 lbs.
Possess a valid driver's license, with a clean background check and drug screening.
