Psychiatric Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Provider to join our team at the University of Dayton Counseling Center. As a member of our clinical team, you will provide psychiatric care and medication management for students within our university community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient assessment and diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, and evaluate and manage medications
- Work collaboratively with the psychiatrist and other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of our students
- Provide patient education and support to promote healthy coping mechanisms and wellness
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans in our electronic health record system
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Practice or Nursing with a focus on psychiatric care
- Current NCCPA certification and licensure to practice in the state of Ohio, including prescriptive authority
- Minimum of three years of experience in a psychiatric clinic setting
- Registration or eligibility to register with the Ohio Automated Rx Reporting System (OARRS)
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of mental health professionals and maintain strict client confidentiality
- PMHNP certification and experience working with young adults
- Valid DEA number and licensure in Ohio or eligibility to obtain DEA licensure in Ohio
- Complex case management experience and ability to navigate electronic health records
