Psychiatric Care Provider

Join the University of Dayton Counseling Center team as a Psychiatric Provider and contribute to the holistic approach to mental health and suicide prevention. As a member of the clinical team, you will provide psychiatric care and medication management for students within the University community.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide patient assessment and diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, evaluate and manage medications, order laboratory tests, interpret test results, provide patient education, prepare medical records, and refer patients for inpatient care in accordance with statutes, regulations, and protocols regulating the profession.
- Work collaboratively with the psychiatrist to provide patient care and support the University's distinctive Marianist tradition and educational vision.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health programs and services that promote student well-being and success.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to students.
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Practice from a program credentialed by Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) OR Master's Degree in Nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Current NCCPA certification and current/unrestricted license to practice in the state of Ohio, including prescriptive authority OR Current/valid RN and APRN License in the State of Ohio.
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric clinic setting.
- Registration or eligibility to register with the Ohio Automated Rx Reporting System (OARRS).
- PMHNP and Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) OR Psychiatry CAQ from NCCPA.
- Experience with young adult mental health.
- Valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in Ohio or eligibility to obtain DEA license in Ohio.
