Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Department Manager to join our team at The GIANT Company. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our deli, carryout, cafe, and cheese departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise team members to ensure excellent customer service and efficient department operations
  • Prepare and stock all products in department and sales floor cases
  • Track and record loss using known loss tracking (KLT)
  • Perform numerous record keeping functions (temperature charts, sanitation logs, production planning, etc.)
  • Organize sales floor cooler and freezer
  • Plan weekly Circular ad
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations to complete job duties satisfactorily
  • The team member must complete a food safety certification every 5 years, and teach new team members importance
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job
Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment with a high level of customer interaction. The team member must be able to work in a team environment and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. The team member must also be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to work in a variety of temperatures, including freezer and back room environments.
