  • Analyze demand for products by considering current inventory, historical sales data, and market trends.
  • Optimize freight costs by ensuring minimum requirements are met and by leveraging existing surplus inventory.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in suggested purchase quantities, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Manage purchase orders effectively, ensuring timely confirmations and updates as required.
  • Collaborate with vendors and finance teams to address invoice discrepancies and streamline processes.
  • Support field personnel in maintaining adequate inventory levels while managing cash flow effectively.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on procurement procedures to foster adherence to best practices.
  • Monitor key performance metrics to ensure departmental objectives are met.
  • Maintain open communication with assigned locations, addressing any relevant issues promptly.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, you should possess:

  • A degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or inventory management.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with vendors and team members.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.
