Job Summary

ZTI Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Systems Engineer/Developer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient Linux systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration: Provide day-to-day system administration for Linux systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security best practices for Linux systems, including access control, authentication, and authorization.
  • Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts to automate system administration tasks, including deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Development: Develop and maintain complex software systems based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, C++, Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including hardware, software, and networking problems.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, security settings, and other relevant information.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of systems and services.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Active Secret Clearance: Must have an active Secret clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or 10 years of relevant technical professional experience.
  • Experience: Five years of experience securing, analyzing, and documenting Linux systems for DoD RMF authorization, and significant knowledge of classified system lock-down procedures and standards such as STIGs and SRGs.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of at least one ubiquitous scripting language, such as sh, csh, or Perl, and experience in complex software development with an emphasis on secure coding practices.
