Job Title: Seed Technician

Bayer's Crop Science division is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Seed Technician to join our team in Redwood Falls, MN. As a Seed Technician, you will play a critical role in the production of high-quality seeds for our grower customers.

Job Summary:

The Seed Technician will be responsible for supporting all facets of row crop seed production, including inspecting and maintaining seed crops, supporting seed inventory management, and performing preventive maintenance and inspections. This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate equipment, including forklifts, seed cleaning, harvesting, and planting equipment
  • Utilize systems to leverage real-time data and technology to drive efficient operations and processes
  • Actively partner with key business stakeholders, including growers and vendors, to execute plant and field operations
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections, troubleshooting problems associated with equipment, processes, and systems as needed
  • Adhere to Bayer's Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) standards and drive efforts toward sustainability
  • Engage in continuous improvement programs and identify opportunities to improve performance in accordance with production area, site, and Bayer goals
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic user knowledge of standard computer programs, including Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and tablets/smart devices
  • Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 60lbs (a bag of seed)
  • Ability to work days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as business needs require
What We Offer:

Bayer offers a competitive hourly rate of $24.40 - $30.67 per hour, with overtime as applicable. We also offer a full benefits package, including generous insurance, 16 paid holidays, 3 weeks paid time off, 401k match, and additional core contribution each year. In this role, you will work closely with other team members to identify ways to improve our processes and contribute to the success of our team.
