Job Summary

This role will support the coordination of Hospitalist coverage by physicians and advanced practice practitioners (APP) to ensure excellent patient care, contractual agreements, and paid time requests are met within expected timeframes. The successful candidate will generate accurate and timely data collection, report generation, and data analysis to support the Chief Medical Director of Clinical Operations' team and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employ a standardized method of communication with Hospitalist providers to notify, create, and implement monthly coverage schedules at least 60-90 days out.
  • Maintain call after hours phone service and load schedules electronically in our approved communication system to ensure all calls are transferred appropriately.
  • Collaborate with Medical Staff services to ensure coverage aligned with locums for uncovered shifts.
  • Distribute and publish Hospitalist schedules with SMH.
  • Create Hospitalist meeting agendas and keep accurate minutes.
  • Work with Med Staff services to ensure an excellent onboarding experience for new Hospitalist Service providers.
  • Collaborate with managers of clinics to ensure timely and accurate updates are communicated to downstream users.
  • Act as liaison between the practice and program representatives, as well as students and residents.
  • Oversee onboarding and scheduling of residents and students, including coordinating with Medical Staff department for credentialing and timely completion of administrative requirements.
  • Perform data abstraction and valid analysis of data for the CMDO and leadership.
  • Identify issues of concern, emerging trends, and areas of inter- and intra-departmental need requiring action to adapt to the dynamics impacting quality of care.
  • Work closely with clinic leaders and staff to improve adherence with quality indicators through education.
  • Assist the CMDO and leadership to identify strategies to attain quality improvement goals.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in project management.
  • Revenue Cycle and Patient Experience, preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft products.
  • Ability to use all office equipment.
  • Able to record minutes from meetings.
