Key Responsibilities- Prepare the clinical environment for telehealth encounters, ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for use.
- Establish and maintain video conferencing connections, making introductions between patient and provider sites.
- Collect and transmit clinical data electronically, following VHA national guidelines.
- Ensure patient care is delivered safely, adhering to all patient safety guidelines and protocols.
- Provide patient education on general anatomy, disease processes, and prevention.
- Screen patients for telehealth modality and refer those not meeting established criteria to appropriate care.
- Communicate effectively with administrative and professional staff to resolve issues and ensure efficient telehealth operations.
- Perform routine inventories and track the location/status of telehealth technology.
- Collaborate with the Facility Telehealth Coordinator to address process issues, equipment needs, and logistical concerns.
- One year of experience in a healthcare field, demonstrating the ability to perform the work or providing an understanding of the work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and programs to perform a variety of tasks.
- Ability to communicate, consult, and interact with other members of the healthcare team.
- Ability to provide and receive guidance and technical direction.
- Ability to plan, organize, set priorities, work as a team member, and effectively complete assignments.
- Knowledge of general clinical policies and procedures in a healthcare environment.
- Skilled in the use of telehealth technologies for the facilitation of telehealth clinical encounters.
