We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our Cloud Networking team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
  • Write high-quality distributed system software.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to develop and implement the next-gen platforms along with the tooling ecosystems to support these platforms.
  • Develop tooling that provides the required visibility and control of traffic across the network, while prioritizing the automatic mitigation of events to minimize the impact to our customers during events.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
