Role Overview

The Area Vice President is responsible for driving revenue growth by cultivating and managing relationships with new and existing clients. This role focuses on small to mid-size companies with high revenue potential, and you'll collaborate with other team members and support personnel to achieve sales goals.

As a key contributor to our team, you'll have a profound impact on the business, driving revenue growth, building relationships, and expanding Gallagher's market share.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and acquire new clients through community networking, industry engagement, and client referrals.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of coverage lines, risk management solutions, and insurance products.
  • Clearly articulate Gallagher's unique value proposition and differentiate it from competitors.
  • Qualify opportunities and prioritize those with a high likelihood of success.
  • Gain a deep understanding of clients' business needs and leverage Gallagher's extensive network of industry experts to address those needs.
  • Proactively engage clients by anticipating and planning for their future requirements.
  • Foster relationships with external firms and individuals to support Gallagher's clients.
  • Establish connections with carriers to comprehend their solutions and factors influencing commissions and fees.
  • Stay updated on industry and market trends that may impact prospects and clients, and maintain expertise to meet their evolving needs.
  • Develop proposals, contracts, and renewal agreements by coordinating efforts with Gallagher's Client Service Operations.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree, 1 year related experience, and appropriate insurance licensing required.
  • Professional designation may be preferred, including CEBS, CPCU, CIC, or ARM.
  • Behaviors: Act independently with minimal direction, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
