Diagnostic Ultrasound Sonographer, Hillsboro, Days, 40 hours

To provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, utilizing expertise in OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular superficial structures. Perform clerical duties as required, promoting team concepts and reflecting the Kaiser Permanente Mission and philosophy.
Essential Responsibilities- Performing diagnostic procedures, utilizing knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served, including routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Communication with Radiologists.
- Assisting patients and transporting them as needed.
- Exam review, filing work, restocking supplies, and cleaning.
- Quality Assurance functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience: N/A
- Education: Graduate of a CAAHEP Accredited Ultrasonographer Program at time of hire or 2 years of previous Ultrasound experience.
- License, Certification, Registration: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Ob-Gyn required at hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Abdomen required at hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Sonography Technologist License (Oregon).
- Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire.
- NOTE: Oregon Board of Medical Imaging License required for positions assigned in Oregon (OBMI) ONLY.
- Daily use of diagnostic equipment, Imaging and health care computer system.
- Demonstrates customer-focused service skills.
- Ability to use and apply excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum one (1) year experience performing Ultrasound exams, preferably within the last three (3) years.
- Vascular Ultrasonographer experience preferred.
- Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning; attention to detail; problem solving, decision making, judgment; technical skills; initiative; communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, organizational relations.
- Adaptability; following Policies and Procedures; flexibility.
- Able to work unsupervised and perform exams independently and confidently.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) ARDMS certification.
