Diagnostic Ultrasound Sonographer, Hillsboro, Days, 40 hours

To provide diagnostic ultrasound services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, to include OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular superficial structures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and perform exams confidently.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Performing diagnostic procedures, using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served.
• Communication with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Assisting patients and transporting them as needed.
• Exam review, filing work, restocking supplies, and cleaning equipment.
• Quality assurance functions and other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonographer program or 2 years of previous ultrasound experience.
• High school diploma or general education development (GED) required.
• Registered diagnostic medical sonographer certificate - Ob-GYN or abdomen required at hire from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
• Sonography technologist license (Oregon) and basic life support within 1 month of hire.
Additional Requirements:
• Daily use of diagnostic equipment and imaging and healthcare computer systems.
• Demonstrates customer-focused service skills and ability to use and apply excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of experience performing ultrasound exams, preferably within the last 3 years.
• Vascular ultrasonographer experience preferred.
• Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, and organizational relations.
• Adaptability, following policies and procedures, flexibility, and ability to work unsupervised and perform exams independently and confidently.
• Registered vascular technologist (RVT) ARDMS certification.
