Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Sonographer at Kaiser Permanente, you will provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services in a hospital and/or clinical setting. This role involves performing a variety of exams, including OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular superficial structures, while maintaining a strong focus on patient care and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic procedures using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist patients and transport them as needed.
• Review exams, file work, and restock supplies while maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Participate in quality assurance functions and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonographer program or 2 years of previous ultrasound experience.
• High school diploma or general education development (GED) required.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certificate - Ob-Gyn or Abdomen required at hire from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
• Sonography technologist license (Oregon) and basic life support certification within 1 month of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience performing ultrasound exams, preferably within the last 3 years.
• Vascular ultrasonographer experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, and technical skills.
