Job Summary

The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to the Governor's Office of Semiconductor Expansion Management and Integration (GO-SEMI), an office of New York State's Empire State Development (ESD). The successful candidate will assist the Executive Director in daily operations, including clerical tasks, scheduling, and organizing departmental processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily activities of GO-SEMI staff, including travel, correspondence, and scheduling.
  • Manage data using various program databases and ensure project information is accurate in information management systems.
  • Provide administrative support to Albany HQ staff or the Finger Lakes Regional office as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments across ESDC and DED to ensure proper handling of paperwork and timely payment of invoices.
  • Prepare, proofread, and distribute reports, agendas, presentations, and other documents as needed.
  • Answer telephones in a professional and courteous manner, take accurate phone messages, and respond to general inquiries.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including typing documents, creating and maintaining file systems, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of administrative experience required.
  • Knowledge of social media sites, accurate typing skills, and proficiency with Adobe PDF, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing systems.

Benefits:

Comprehensive benefits package, including salary range of $50,000 to $57,000.
