Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team in Richmond, VA. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for operating, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Perform new installations of equipment.
  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems.
  • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
