As a skilled Electrician, you will be responsible for operating, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the general operation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and lighting systems.
- Perform new installations of equipment and ensure compliance with local electrical codes.
- Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems, including valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Provide efficient and reliable service to customers, applying general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values, promoting a culture of respect, integrity, service, and excellence.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
- Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes.
- Valid Driver's license required.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- Advanced math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculation of intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
- Must have a Virginia (or another reciprocal state) issued Master or Journeyman HVAC license.
